Suddenly the the text became all scrambled, most of it was replaced with strings of letters and Chinese characters. Of creating the new document it went crazy. Yesterday I created a new Word document (from an existing Word document that I created earlier in the week) and within a minute The icon has been in the dock for the last week or so, and I didn't notice any changes, errors, or difficulties until yesterday. When I click on the icon and select "quit" nothing happens. It remains the same whether Microsoft office applications are open or closed. There are no open windows associated with the application. The icon has the little dot reflection below it, signaling that the application is open. There is a "Microsoft Error Reporting" icon (a clipboard with a pad of paper showing a line graph and exclamation point) is in my dock.
